Accessibility

What we build to, what we test, and how to reach us.

Effective August 17, 2026 · Touchline · Simi Valley, CA

Touchline is how families book coaching and how coaches get paid. If any part of it is unusable for you, that is a defect on our side — the same severity as money not adding up. This page says what we build to, what we test, and how to reach us.

What we build to

We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA across the website and the app. In practice that means:

  • Text and interface colors meet AA contrast, including money amounts at small sizes.
  • Controls in navigation bars and headers are at least 44px, and every other control meets WCAG 2.2's 24px minimum. All of them work with a keyboard and show a visible focus ring.
  • Icon-only buttons carry labels for screen readers, and toasts are announced, not just flashed.
  • Motion is decorative only, and the whole product honors your reduce-motion setting.
  • Dates and times are picked, never typed, and forms explain errors in words next to the field.

What we test

Every change is checked by machine before it ships: automated accessibility rules (axe-core) on every public screen at phone and desktop widths, text contrast measured on the rendered page, 44px targets in every navigation bar, and a check that every dialog moves focus into itself and closes on Escape. The signed-in parent, coach and staff screens were measured the same way, with test accounts, on September 21, 2026. The parent journey — request, confirm, pay after the session — has end-to-end tests of its own. We have not yet done a full pass with VoiceOver; when we do, it will be dated here.

Known limits

The coach calendar's week view is dense with a screen reader. Every upcoming session on it is also listed on Requests, with its date, time, family and status; open times and time off are only on the calendar for now. If we learn of anything else, it gets listed here with a date.
