Booking works like a restaurant tab. A session goes on it when your coach confirms, and each one is charged on its own after it has been played. Book thirty, complete nineteen, and you pay for nineteen. Cancel outside your coach’s window and it never reaches the tab at all.
A cancelled session comes off the tab, because nothing was ever taken.
Every coach you use sits on the same tab at their own rate. There is no refund queue here and no credit to spend before it expires — a session that did not happen simply never became money.

There is no directory to search and no ranking to climb. A coach you have not been introduced to is unreachable here rather than unlisted, which is a deliberate deletion and not a missing feature.

There are two ways to write a charge early, and the database refuses both.
A line of code that says “only charge completed sessions” is a description of one path, and the next path is written by somebody who has not read it. So the rule is not in the code. It is enforced by the database itself, on every caller — this application’s privileged one included, and a hand-typed query too.
The seat is marked charged while its session is still pending or approved, and the write is refused before it lands.
Skipping the update and creating the seat pre-charged is the same move by another route, and it is refused at insert for the same reason.

Every coach passes a background check before their first session, and it is renewed every year. A coach whose renewal is late has thirty days of grace; after that they stop taking new bookings until a current check clears.
Your coach is an independent provider, not our employee. They set their own session price and their own cancellation window, between 6 and 48 hours.
There is no public list of coaches to browse and no way for one to cold-message your family. You add the coach you already know, by phone number.
